‘The Fantasy is at an End’ – Col. Douglas MacGregor [VIDEO]

.

ER Editor: This video was released yesterday, April 16, between Judge Napolitano and Colonel Douglas MacGregor. Our notes are below but we recommend listening to the entire 30 minutes. We hear the interview driving up the fear of Israel, its typical attitude and arrogance, and its possible use of nuclear weapons, etc. We feel, however, that Israel has already been muzzled. Notice what MacGregor says ‘we’ need to do against Israel. It sounds to us like this has already happened, including taking care of any nuclear nonsense it might decide to do. This is all a clear defence of Iran. His comments on Ukraine are interesting.

As irritating to some readers as this sounds, we still believe we are watching well-planned theatre, for the takedown of Israel and Zionism, in fact and in the public eye. Despite the nuclear fear porn, it sounds as if everything is well under control. Including the nuclear threat.

UKRAINE

MacGregor on Ukraine: There are large-scale surrenders currently going on among Ukrainian troops. Russia has been successful in sending messages to Ukrainian forces getting them to surrender on the promise, a real one, of decent treatment. Even in the last 24 hours, one of the notorious Ukrainian regiments (Nazi? Azov?) has refused to continue fighting. This situation may be over quicker than expected.

The Russians are moving to key locations around the Dnieper River; this may be over in 45 days. Odessa (south-west) is at yet unknown. Russians have treated troops who have voluntarily surrendered very well. Their offer to Ukrainians is legitimate. This ‘war’ situation is more like a civil war, actually. We’re getting to the end of this. Ukrainian soldiers who give themselves up do indeed fear for their families against the SBU (Ukrainian secret police). But the Ukrainian government and secret police are pretty overwhelmed right now.

Judge: Do US lawmakers understand any of this?

MacGregor: The fantasy is at an end. Sending US monies over there makes no sense.

ISRAEL AND IRAN

MacGregor: Iran was very careful in its operation against Israel. They didn’t want to kill anyone; they targeted military installations to inflict damage. They didn’t use their best weaponry by any means. They sent a message: old weaponry can penetrate your defenses. But likely no positive message was received anywhere. Israelis are denying reality. As Alastair Crooke said, the Israelis are in a lot of trouble, the Gaza campaign is not going well and Hezbollah are intact; the West Bank is unruly and tense and Israelis are doubting they can win anything. But Israelis have a fatalistic sense which urges them to go down fighting doing as much damage as possible. Crooke is likely right in his assessment. However, Netanyahu has a trump card – the US military (ER: wait! Trump is still CIC …) MacGregor pushes the line that Israeli influence among US politicians carries more weight than anything Biden (‘Biden’) says. (ER: We are sceptical of this claim as things currently stand.)

Judge: What about Iran’s strategy of attack, with Israel thus revealing the location of its defensive weaponry and wasting it? Israel spent a billion dollars in just one night according to Scott Ritter. Then the British, Jordanian and French forces joined in.

MacGregor: Scott’s probably about right, although the sum could have been a bit more. Iranian drones would have been fairly cheap compared to Israeli missiles. It was a waste of resources. Yes, the Iranians have a shrewd picture of Israeli air and missile defences. Israel did defend itself well, but it’s always possible for an enemy to overwhelm a country’s air and defence systems with simply enough projectiles over a 24-48 hour period. Iran was perfectly capable of doing this. Israel should have got that message but McGregor fears they’ll go on the offensive.

Iran has tens of thousands of missiles that are quite top of the line. The hypersonic missile question is important: some have been reported as being used by Iran. They have access to as much modern missile technology as the US does thanks to Russia, China and North Korea, which can easily overcome whatever Israel can build.

The Israelis privately know this, yet it seems to spur them onto further action. MacGregor says ‘we’ have to go in and deprive them of their command and control (ER: we assume he’s speaking about the Israelis being deprived here), deprive them of their best weapons systems, their arsenals, attack their underground facilities, especially their alleged nuclear site. Their overground nuclear facility is no longer used for military purposes. (ER: Question: has all this happened to Israel already by the white hats? It smells to us as if it has, which of course is proof of nothing.) Israel has decided to inflict damage on Iran. It’s unthinkable for the Israelis to live in the Middle East with countries around them equal to or great in terms of military power.

(David Cameron’s pompous attack on Iran is played)

Judge: Israel destroyed the Iranian consulate in Damascus and killed people. The consulate was sovereign territory under international law.

MacGregor: And Iran warned the US as to what it was going to do. Iran was not going to attack US installations providing the US did not attack theirs. We knew that. Iran was also transparent in terms of timing and weaponry used. Israel gave no warning as to what it was going to do. Cameron’s missed half the story. Israel only pays attention to international law (like the west) when it suits.

(George Galloway’s Parliamentary comment is played, critical of Sunak’s lack of reaction against Israel’s actions in Damascus)

The UK government was materially involved in the defense of Israel when Iranian drones attacked last weekend. They had aircraft in the air shooting down the low-and-slow drones Iran used that took hours to get there. They were easy targets. Hence Iran discovered where Israel’s systems were located. Iran doesn’t want escalation into war. Israel wants the US to be in a position to have to defend Israel. Sunak and Washington are singing from the same hymn sheet.

Israel just assumes the US will interfere on its behalf. But there won’t be any kind of US boots on the ground in or around Iran.

For Israel, the view is always their way or the highway, which they justify using their history and WWII. MacGregor’s greatest fear? If Israel significantly attacks Iran, and the US intervenes, then so will Russia. Russia will not permit Iran to be destroyed. There are close ties between the two countries.

The nuclear question is raised where Napolitano reminds us that Iran does not have nuclear weapons but that Israel does. Iran hasn’t crossed the nuclear threshold of having usable weapons; a fatwa was issued against developing these weapons, and Russia has provided Iran with assurances. China will also support Russia and Iran if pushed. Erdogan has also spoken out against Israel and its weaponry. That’s the point: no-one in the region is now afraid of Israel. Netanyahu’s view is that Israel won’t survive unless regional players are afraid of it.

The Liberty Beacon Project is now expanding at a near exponential rate, and for this we are grateful and excited! But we must also be practical. For 7 years we have not asked for any donations, and have built this project with our own funds as we grew. We are now experiencing ever increasing growing pains due to the large number of websites and projects we represent. So we have just installed donation buttons on our websites and ask that you consider this when you visit them. Nothing is too small. We thank you for all your support and your considerations … (TLB)
